What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog, website or app?
When you visit rebelbase.co, whether or not you sign-in as a registered user, we collect your IP address, the location of your Internet Service Provider, the type and version of Internet browser that you are using, and the website from which you came. We also collect information regarding your site usage, such as the time spent on a page and the number of pages you viewed.
We collect and store your project details that you populate through challenges and comments you share on the RebelBase Platform. You may also include a video recording or picture. All information you put onto the RebelBase Platform is confidential unless you decide to share any of it, with the exception of Basic Application Information, which will only be confidential if you opt out of disclosing such information.
When do we collect information?
We collect information from you when you register on our site, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, open a support ticket or enter information on our site, or provide us with feedback on our products or services.
When you register for an account, we collect some personal information, such as your name, phone number, email address and home and business postal addresses. When you invite others to join RebelBase by inviting them to your project or share your ideas, we send them a one-time email. We may also receive Personal Information (for example, your email address) through other users, for example if they have tried to share something with you or tried to invite you to their project at RebelBase Platform.
When you use the site, we automatically record information from your device, its software, and your activity using the site. If you are an organization: The RebelBase Platform allows the Organization Administrator of an Organization the ability to set certain settings in the profile of the members of the Organization. Thus, for each Organization, the Administrator decides which information is available for access or review by entrepreneurs and/or other Organizations, and which information is not to be disclosed, or is disclosed to selected entrepreneurs and/or other Organizations, according to the policies of the Organization. Please note that (1) the default settings that are set by an Organization Administrator may change from time to time; (2) each Organization may opt for different default settings. While the RebelBase Platform includes initial defaults, RebelBase has no control over the choice of a setting or the change in a default setting by an Organization’s Administrator.
If you are an entrepreneur: If you are an entrepreneur and you have posted or uploaded information about you and/or your team, this information is disclosed to the Organizations to whom you have chosen to disclose the information. Additionally, if you join a competition, your Basic Application Information will be disclosed to such organizations, regardless of your designation, unless you opt out. The disclosure of Basic Application Information will occur regardless of whether you complete the application.
Legally Required Disclosure: Under certain circumstances, disclosure of your personal data may be required by law. RebelBase may disclose your personal data (1) if, in its own best judgment, it is required by law to do so in order to comply with a facially valid judicial or governmental subpoena, warrant, bankruptcy proceedings, or other order, or (2) to a government institution that has asserted its lawful authority to obtain the information, or (3) when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud.

We will respond to your inquiry within 30 days. Please note, however, that there might be a delay in deleting information from our servers and backed-up versions might exist after deletion. Data Retention
We will retain your information for as long as your account is active to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, you may email us at privacy@rebelbase.co. Please note, however, that there might be latency in deleting information from our servers and backed-up versions might exist after deletion. In addition, we do not delete from our servers files that you have in common with other users.
How do we protect your information?
We do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards. We only provide articles and information. We never ask for credit card numbers. We use regular malware Scanning.
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.
What about Uploaded Documents?
Documents that are uploaded to the RebelBase Platform for sharing are stored at a third party data-storage service. All uploads and downloads are transmitted through the web between users and the data storage service using the same encryption techniques as those that are used with personal data. However, uploaded media or documents are neither stored redundantly, nor backed up. Therefore, we recommend that RebelBase users keep back-up copies of their documents if they upload them to the rebelbase.co website.
When will RebelBase contact me?
RebelBase will communicate with you in response to your requests for service or customer support. We will contact you by phone or by email, according to your preference. RebelBase will send you service-related emails if it becomes necessary to do so. RebelBase may send you an email in order to notify you of updates to our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, or other agreement that you have with RebelBase. We may also send you an email in order to notify you of new products, or services or features. If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you may opt out of them by emailing us. For system generated emails (in response to you or other RebelBase users actions) the majority of them are configurable under settings. If you do not want to receive any emails from RebelBase, you can opt out by deactivating your account by contacting privacy@rebelbase.co.
Third-party disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information unless we provide users with advance notice. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when it’s release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. California Online Privacy Protection Act
CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy.
